Jammu and Kashmir School Education Department (SED) is coming up with a plan of establishing Virtual Reality Lab (VRL) in Jammu and Kashmir.
With the help of these labs which will be opened in every district of J&K one could walk through virtual reality representations of products that were yet to be realised using virtual reality technologies
This is an initiative by the School Education department will help students to build an attitude to have scientific temper.
As per reports, these labs would help students and staff to visualize designs, develop immersive VR environments, and to test new VR and AR technologies. With the help of VRL will be a fun learning for students as it will generate an immersive learning. Also it will be helpful for teachers to take lab exams, provide individual assignments and assess students as well after the establishment of virtual labs.
Ten Virtual Reality Labs are authorized for J&K at nearly Rs 20 to Rs 25 lakh each.
These labs would allow the students to perform experiments in educational fields like Physics, Chemistry, or Biology in 3D multiuser worlds where users are represented by avatars and offered a wide range of communication and collaboration on services to simulate efficiently a real learning experiment.
