10th Board exams cancelled; Students to be promoted on basis of internal assessment

In a major decision on Wednesday Central Board of Secondary Education announced that Board exams for 10th class have been cancelled.

Exams for Class 10th will not be held this year and students will promoted on the basis of an internal assessment, Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank said.

CBSE has postponed Class 12th examinations till May 30. The board will issue a revised schedule for Class 12th board exams on June 1.
