Police in Anantnag have seized fourteen vehicles involved in illegal mining during the intervening night of April 12/13.
A police team from Police Post Dialgam, at a checkpoint established at Larkipora Bridge, seized 14 vehicles involved in illegal mining activities. The seized vehicles include 8 tippers and 6 tractors, which were found transporting minerals without valid authorization, Police said on Monday.
Regarding the incident, cases have been registered at Police Station Anantnag and investigation has been initiated.
J&K Police reiterates its commitment to take strict action against individuals involved in illegal mining and urges the public to cooperate in maintaining law and order.
