4 Ladakh Scouts train SEOC personnel in firefighting and emergency response

A Fire Safety and Emergency Response Training Programme was successfully conducted for the staff of the State Emergency Operations Centre (SEOC), Department of Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation & Reconstruction (DMRRR), UT Ladakh.

The training was conducted by SM Tsewang Mingur and his team from 4 Ladakh Scouts.

During the programme, Instructor Nk/Tsewang Namgyal delivered an informative presentation on fire safety, prevention, and emergency response procedures. The team also conducted practical fire drill demonstrations, providing participants with hands-on knowledge and skills to respond effectively during fire emergencies.

Dr. Stanzin Passang, Project Manager, DMRRR-SEOC, UT Ladakh, along with the staff of SEOC-DMRRR, was present on the occasion. He appreciated the efforts of the resource team and emphasized the importance of regular training, preparedness, and coordination in strengthening emergency response capacity.

The programme enhanced the participants’ understanding of fire safety measures, emergency preparedness, and the effective use of firefighting techniques, contributing to a safer and more resilient workplace.
