6 killed, 3 injured as vehicle plunges into gorge in Poonch

At least six persons were killed and three seriously injured when a car in which they were travelling plunged into a deep gorge in the Surankote area of Poonch district of Jammu on Wednesday

As per reports, the vehicle was proceeding from Poonch towards Sheindhara when it met with an accident.

Locals and police personnel immediately launched rescue operations and transported the injured to hospital at Poonch.

Reports said that five of the killed have been identified as Mohammad Shafiq (30), Nazakat Hussain (28), Sharaz Ahmed (30), Zahoor Ahmed (23) and Nusarat Naz (20).

Among those injured was a 4 year old unidentified boy, Zaffar Ahmed (25) and Tahir Hussain (16).
