724 oxygen cylinders utilized in GMC, AHs in last 24 hours

Principal Government Medical College, Jammu, Dr Nasib Chand Digra today said that the management is maintaining adequate availability of oxygen cylinders in the GMCH and Associated Hospitals for the Covid positive patents.

He said around 724 oxygen cylinders, including 698 in GMC and 26 in Chest Disease Hospital  have been consumed in the last 24 hours.  He added that GMC has a buffer stock of 600 cylinders, while  CD hospital has 83 cylinders in buffer stock.

Meanwhile,  Medical Superintendent GMC, Dr. Dara Singh informed that GMC has total 77 patients out of which 18 are in isolation ward, 13 are in CCU, 29 in ward no 3 and 17 in HDU.

Out of 77 patients 12 have been provided with Bipap facility and 2 patients are on ventilator support. He said the Chest Disease hospital has 31 patients and all have been provided with oxygen supply facility. He further informed that one death has been reported in GMC in last 24 hours.
