Duplicate Paneer Syndicate Busted By Jammu Police, South Zone; Police Station Bagh-E-Bahu Recovered Eight Quintals Of Fake Paneer, Three Detained.
In an act of alertness and an effort to safe guard the general public from consuming duplicate cheese (Paneer), Police Station Bagh-e-Bahu did a splendid job by recovering around 800 kg of duplicate Cheese from a bus which was on its way from Delhi to katra, being transported for illegal distribution.
Acting on credible input, a team from Police Station Bagh-e-Bahu led by SHO PS Bagh-e-Bahu under the supervision of SDPO East, SP South and SSP Jammu intercepted a bus bearing registration number AP-20B-0888 at Naka Point Bravo-03. The vehicle, which was en route from Delhi to Katra, was being driven by Abdul Ahad S/O Abdul Khaliq, R/O Loran Kharpa, Poonch.
At the time of interception, two individuals — Arif Hussain S/O Rashid Ahmed, R/O Malik Market, driving an auto (JK02DG-1890), and Mysir Bhat S/O Mohd Sharief Bhat, R/O Magam Kokernag, Anantnag, driving another auto (JK02CN-2757) — were found unloading the suspected duplicate paneer intended for supply to various dairy stores across Jammu city.
Preliminary inquiry revealed that the consignment belongs to Mohd Iqbal S/O Bashir Ahmed, R/O Takia Kokernag, and Manzoor Ahmad Sardan S/O Mehboob Ahmed Sardan, R/O Kokernag, presently residing at Bus Stand Jammu.
The Food Safety Department was informed, and necessary samples have been collected for analysis. Further investigation is underway to trace the full network behind this illegal activity.
