Magisterial inquiry ordered in firing in Shopian, Kashmir

The District Magistrate (DM) Shopian today ordered a magisterial enquiry in today’s firing incident at Turkawangam in district Shopian.

As per an official handout issued here the magisterial enquiry shall be conducted by Additional District Magistrate, Shopian.

A 22-year-old civilian was killed in a “cross-fire” between security forces and terrorists in Kashmir’s Shopian district on Sunday. This is the second such instance when a civilian has been killed in “cross-firing” in the last six days in Shopian district.

It was given out that the enquiry shall be completed in a given time frame and suitable action under law shall be taken.
