Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha visited SKIMS hospital in Srinagar today to inquire about the well-being of pilgrims wounded in cloudburst incident at Shri Amarnathji holy cave.
The Lt. Governor visited the injured patients’ doctors and requested them to provide the best care possible to patients for a quick recovery. The Lt. Governor also visited the hospital wards where injured patients were being treated and inquired about their health.
The Lt. Governor was informed by Prof. Parvaiz A. Koul, Director of SKIMS, about the medical facilities available to treat pilgrims who have been wounded.
According to information provided, seven pilgrims who were hurt in the terrible cloudburst are receiving medical care at the hospital and are being monitored closely by top medical personnel.
The situation of returning the mortal remains of dead pilgrims to their respective hometowns was also briefed to the Lt Governor during a later visit to PCR in Srinagar. The Lt Governor was joined by Nitishwar Kumar, the Principal Secretary to the Lt Governor, Mohd Aijaz, the Deputy Commissioner of Srinagar, and other senior members of the Civil and Police Administration.
