Pakistan Rangers again violate ceasefire, resort to unprovoked firing at BSF posts in Arnia sector

Violating the ceasefire again within days, Pakistani Rangers resorted to unprovoked firing at BSF posts in the Arnia sector along the international border (IB) in the Jammu district.

A BSF spokesman said that Pakistan Rangers resorted to unprovoked firing on BSF posts at about 8 pm. The BSF befittingly retaliated.

BSF in a statement said; “Tonight at about 2000 hrs unprovoked firing started by Pak Rangers on BSF posts in Arnia area which is befittingly retaliated by BSF troops. The firing is still on”.

Two BSF troopers were injured few days ago when Pakistan Rangers indiscriminately fired at an Indian border post in the Arnia sector. The issue was raised by the BSF with its Pakistani counterpart in a flag meeting.
