Srinagar :- Dense fog continued to blanket Kashmir Valley for the second straight day on Saturday, forcing the rescheduling of all morning flights at Srinagar International Airport due to poor visibility conditions.
Airport officials told that flight operations have been pushed back to after 10:00 AM as thick fog severely reduced visibility in the morning hours. The foggy conditions have disrupted normal flight schedules for a second consecutive day.The dense fog also impacted road travel, with motorists seen using fog lights and exercising caution while driving in the challenging visibility conditions early Saturday.
Adding to the weather concerns, the Meteorological Department has issued a forecast predicting moderate rainfall and snowfall across Jammu and Kashmir region. Higher elevation areas are expected to receive heavy snowfall.The foggy conditions and upcoming precipitation are likely to continue affecting transportation and daily activities in the region.
Residents and travelers are advised to plan accordingly and take necessary precautions.
