Udhampur :- In a significant breakthrough, the Udhampur Police successfully apprehended the second accused involved in the recent assault case at Salathia Chowk.
On January 10, 2025, police officials arrested Imran Chandail, son of Gulzar Ahmed and resident of Gangera, Udhampur, following sustained investigative efforts. The arrest comes in connection with the attack on Sourav Rathore, son of Maan Singh from Omala, Udhampur, which took place on January 8, 2025.
The case, registered under FIR No. 12/2025 with sections 109/BNS and 4/25 of the Arms Act, has seen steady progress with this second arrest. The first accused, Mohd Arif, was taken into custody immediately following the incident.
The Udhampur Police team continues their investigation and pursuit of any remaining suspects connected to the attack. This latest arrest demonstrates the police department’s commitment to maintaining law and order in the region and ensuring swift action against perpetrators of violence.
