Jammu :-The Jammu and Kashmir Government has released a new circular, under which the government has issued a set of guidelines asking all the administrative departments, officers, and officials in the Union Territory to extend due cooperation and give priority to issues highlighted by elected representatives. According to Circular No.05-JK(GAD) of 2025, dated February 7, 2025.
The circular issued by the General Administration Department says that the officers and officials in the government are supposed to pay attention to elected representatives from the Legislative Assembly first in their offices. It insists that all communications, requests, and grievances brought up by the elected representatives are supposed to be acknowledged and processed on time. The directive also focuses on professional and respectful behavior when handling the elected representatives.
Besides, the circular stipulates that elected representatives shall be invited to all official functions and meetings organized within their jurisdiction, even if it is during their official visits. The paper, signed by M. Raju IAS, Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, is distributed to several high-ranking officers.
