Girl injured in Leh police firing recovering in AIIMS New Delhi

The health condition of the 21-year-old girl who was airlifted from Leh to AIIMS, New Delhi, for advanced medical treatment on September 25, 2025, after being injured in police firing in Leh, is “stable”, said an official spokesman today. She is currently admitted to the ICU of AIIMS Trauma Centre, New Delhi.

Dr Rinchen Chosdol, Medical Superintendent, SNM Hospital, Leh, has informed that as per the attending doctors at the Trauma Centre, AIIMS, New Delhi, the patient is now on the third day post-operation and was extubated yesterday. She is maintaining adequate oxygen saturation on nasal prongs and is hemodynamically stable. The patient has also started taking oral feeds.

The Member Secretary of Ashoka Mission, a social worker from the Mission, and the patient’s mother are at AIIMS with her. All possible medical attention is being made available to her, the spokesman added
