In strict enforcement of the prohibitory orders issued by the District Magistrate Rajouri regarding the ban on the use of all types of Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) within the district Rajouri Police registered two separate cases after individuals were found violating the said order.
- Police Station Manjakote
During a routine naka checking a police team of PS Manjakote apprehended one individual Mohd Nasar S/O Mohd Yakoob R/O Dheri Raylote who was found using a VPN application.
In this regard, FIR No. 107/2025 U/S 223 BNS has been registered at PS Manjakote - Police Station Darhal
In another incident during naka checking by PS Darhal one person namely Mohd Mukhtar S/O Mohd Taj, aged 38 years R/O Madhoon Dodaj Rajouri was found in possession of a mobile phone with VPN application in this regard a case FIR No. 73/2025 U/S 223 BNS has been registered at PS Darhal.
General Public is once again advised to strictly adhere to the restrictions imposed and refrain from using VPN services in violation of the DM’s directions.
