Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Saturday asked the organisers of the Ranji Trophy at Hubballi in Karnataka to reverse their decision of not letting water bottles inside the stadium on the final day of the event.
Omar Abdullah said, “I’m really sorry to hear that and I don’t think that should be done. If they were allowed for the first four days, they should be allowed today. There’s no reason why anything should be done differently”
“Please reverse that decision and whatever they did for the first four days should be allowed for the fifth day. It’s too warm. People like us are fasting. We don’t need water. But those who are not, I think it would be very unfair to deny them the opportunity to carry a bottle of water into the ground”, he added.
