Dy. Inspector General of Police (DIG) Jammu-Samba-Kathua Range (JSK) Range, Shiv Kumar Sharma on Tuesday held a comprehensive visit of border area of district Kathua along-with SSP Kathua Mohita Sharma, SP OPS (Kandi & Border) Kathua Mukund and other officers.
Security review of these areas was conducted by DIG JSK Range met with Police officials, VDG members in sensitive area.
All the Officers/officials were instructed to maintain alertness and professionalism while performing duties on the naka points near border area and other vulnerable points and briefed the cops for their sensitivity of duty and they were directed to remain extra vigilant on their points.
Moreover, all the officers were directed to strengthening all the nakas especially during night hours. The DIG JSK Range also emphasized the need for enhanced surveillance of anti-social and anti-national elements along the border area.
The DIG also met BSF authorities for better coordination as a part of Border management system and discuss various security related issues and imparted necessary directions regarding establishment of joint nakas for better results. He also distributed sweets among jawans in view of ongoing and forthcoming festivals and boost their morale.
