Giving voice to people, DC Krishan Lal inaugurates Radio Doda 88.8 FM

Radio Doda 88.8 FM was inaugurated on Wednesday by Krishan Lal, Deputy Commissioner of Doda, marking a significant milestone in enhancing local communication and cultural identity.

The new station aims to provide the people of Doda with a platform to share their stories, voices and aspirations. Speaking at the inauguration, Krishan Lal emphasized the role of community radio in fostering a connection between the administration and citizens.

“Radio Doda will not only entertain but also educate, inform and empower the people of this region. It is a medium that belongs to the community and reflects its heartbeat,” he said.

Radio Doda will offer a variety of content, including folk music, cultural programs and discussions on health, education and local news. It will serve as an essential source for government scheme updates, emergency alerts and awareness campaigns, promoting literacy, skill development and the preservation of local traditions.

The station’s grassroots approach will bridge the gap between the administration and Doda’s people, ensuring transparency, participation and unity. The inauguration ceremony was attended by local officials, community leaders and youth, who expressed their optimism for the station’s future.
