Property worth over Rs.18 lakh “acquired through drug trade” attached in Shopian

As part of its ongoing drive against narcotics related activities, J&K Police in Shopian have attached a single-storey residential house valued at ₹18,88,000 under Khasra No. 126, belonging to Mushtaq Ahmad Khanday resident of Barbugh Imamsahib, Police stated on Saturday.

The property was identified as having been acquired through proceeds generated from the illegal sale of drugs and narcotics. Accordingly, the property was attached in connection with case FIR No. 02/2026 of Police Station Imamsahib. The attachment process was carried out in the presence of a duly constituted police team, Executive Magistrate, Lambardar and Chowkidar ensuring full compliance with all legal procedures and protocols, Police said.
