Traffic on Mughal Road connecting Kashmir with Poonch suspended; some vehicles stranded

The traffic movement on the Mughal road that connects Poonch with Kashmir Valley was suspended due to heavy snowfall. There are reports circulating on social media that that over 150 vehicles are stranded on the road due to the closure.

While the JK Newsline cannot verify the number of vehicles stranded on Mughal road, it is a fact that traffic was stalled due to heavy snowfall at Peer ki Gali area. Social media users posted videos and photos of heavy snowfall at the site that took place in May that is unusual.

Many stranded commuters urged the administration and the Border Roads Organization to send rescue teams so that the vehicles could be moved forward.
