GMC begins emergency wing upgrade, assures uninterrupted patient care

The administration of Government Medical College (GMC), Jammu, has said that renovation and upgradation works are currently underway in the Emergency Wing of the hospital, which may cause temporary inconvenience to patients and attendants.

In an official statement, the hospital administration expressed regret over the inconvenience and said that all necessary preventive and facilitative measures are being taken to ensure uninterrupted patient care and smooth functioning of emergency services during the renovation period.

The statement said “Due to the ongoing renovation and upgradation works in the Emergency Wing of the hospital, some inconvenience may be caused to patients and attendants, which is deeply regretted”.

“However, the hospital administration is taking all necessary preventive and facilitative measures to ensure uninterrupted patient care and smooth functioning of emergency services”.

“The public is requested to cooperate during this period in the larger interest of improving healthcare facilities”, the statement added.
