Div Com, IGP visit flood hit areas of Rajouri-Poonch

Divisional Commissioner Jammu Ramesh Kumar, along with Inspector General of Police (IGP), Jammu Zone Bhim Sen Tuti, today visited the rain-affected area of Dara Sangla, Surankote to review the ongoing search, rescue and relief operations being carried out in the aftermath of the recent heavy rainfall.

They were accompanied by the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Rajouri-Poonch Range, Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Senior Superintendent of Police Poonch, and other senior civil and police officers, who jointly assessed the ground situation and monitored the progress of the ongoing operations.

During the visit, the officers interacted with personnel from the District Police, NDRF, SDRF, CISF and Civil Administration engaged in the operation and appreciated their dedicated efforts under challenging conditions. They also met the affected residents and assured them that all possible assistance is being extended by the administration.

The officers emphasized close coordination among all stakeholder agencies to ensure the effective continuation of the search and rescue operation. They directed the field teams to remain vigilant, prioritize public safety, and provide timely assistance to the affected families while ensuring that no effort is spared in the ongoing operation.

District Police Poonch, in close coordination with the Civil Administration, NDRF, SDRF, CISF and other line departments, continues to work round the clock to carry out search, rescue and relief operations and remains committed to safeguarding the lives and well-being of the public.
