DGP orders high level of preparedness, area domination during upcoming Kaunsarnag yatra
Director General of Police, J&K, Nalin Prabhat, today chaired a security review meeting at Police Control Room Kashmir to review the security arrangements for the annual Kaunsarnag Yatra.
The meeting was attended by Spl. DG Coordination J&K S.J.M Gillani, IGsP of (Kashmir Zone, Jammu Zone), range DIsG of SKR & UR, SSP Kulgam, SSP Reasi, SSP PCR Kashmir, CO 33RR, CO 58RR, CDR 14 Sector RR and other senior officers.
The meeting focused on reviewing the existing security arrangements and strengthening the security framework in view of the upcoming Kounsarnag Yatra.
At the onset of the meeting, officers briefed the DGP on the security arrangements and preparedness for the forthcoming Yatra.
Nalin Prabhat reviewed various security-related aspects and stressed the need for enhanced coordination among all concerned agencies to ensure comprehensive security and effective management of the pilgrimage.
The DGP directed the officers to maintain a high level of preparedness, strengthen security arrangements along the Yatra routes, and ensure close coordination and seamless communication among all stakeholders.
The DGP underscored that the safety and security of pilgrims remains a top priority and called for all necessary security measures to facilitate the peaceful and smooth conduct of the Kounsarnag Yatra.
The meeting concluded with directions to all concerned officers to ensure meticulous planning, close coordination, and effective implementation of the security arrangements.
Meanwhile, SSP Anantnag Amod Ashok Nagpure reviewed the security arrangements along the route designated for the passage of Chhari Mubarak, ahead of the forthcoming religious procession.
During the review, the SSP inspected the key locations and stretches along the route through which the Chhari Mubarak is scheduled to pass and took stock of the overall security arrangements, deployment plans, traffic management and crowd regulation measures.
SSP Anantnag directed the officers and personnel deployed on the route to maintain heightened alertness, ensure effective coordination and remain vigilant throughout the movement. He emphasised that all necessary security and traffic arrangements must be put in place well in advance to facilitate the smooth and peaceful passage of the procession.
The SSP further stressed the importance of close coordination among all stakeholders and directed the concerned officers to ensure seamless arrangements for the devotees and the general public.
