Rs 18.19 lakh job scam: Crime Branch files chargesheet against Jammu couple
The Economic Offences Wing (EOW), Crime Branch Jammu, has filed a chargesheet before the Court of the Railway Magistrate, Jammu, against Jameel Anjum S/o Nasir Ahmed Mir and Sana Mir W/o Jameel Anjum, both residents of H.No. 47, Narania Mohalla, Kacchi Chawni, Jammu, for allegedly cheating complainants by promising government jobs to their children and issuing fake appointment/adjustment orders, Crime Branch said today.
The case, FIR No. 75/2023, was registered at Police Station Crime Branch (EOW), Jammu, on a complaint lodged by Naresh Kumar and Rajesh Kumar, alleging that the accused persons obtained Rs.15.00 lakh and Rs.3.19 lakh, respectively, on the pretext of arranging government jobs for their children and provided fake appointment orders.
During investigation, the seized documents were sent to FSL Jammu for examination. The FSL opinion supported the allegation that Jameel Anjum had forged and used the appointment documents as genuine to dishonestly induce the complainants on the false promise of government job, Crima Branch said.
On the basis of the evidence collected, the allegations were substantiated and the investigation was concluded with the filing of the chargesheet before the Court of Railway Magistrate against accused persons along with the list of witnesses and seized documents for judicial determination.
