Terrorist killed in Budgam encounter, AK rifle recovered
A heavily armed terrorist was killed in the ongoing gunfire between security forces and terrorists in the Ashdar Gali area of Budgam (Kashmir) on Friday.
The Chinar Corps of the Indian Army in a post on X said that “Based on specific intelligence input, a Joint Search Operation was launched by the Indian Army, J&K Police and CRPF in general area Ashdar Gali, Budgam”.
“Vigilant troops observed suspicious activity and upon being challenged, terrorists opened fire, prompting a fierce exchange of gunfire during which One terrorist neutralised and one AK rifle and other war-like stores recovered”.
