12-year manhunt ends as GRP Jammu tracks down absconder

In a significant breakthrough, Govt. Railway Police Jammu has successfully arrested Pankaj Kumar S/o Jagdish Raj R/o Near Ravi Dass Mandir Haripora, R S Pura, Jammu A/P 840 Gali No. 5 East Hussainpura Shariefpura, Rani Bazaar Amritsar, who was absconding since 12 years during trail of the case FIR No. 01/2015 U/s 382/34 RPC PS GRP Manwal from the Court of Railway Jammu and produced before the Railway Court Jammu and he has been presently lodged in District Jail Ambphalla Jammu.

The accused found involved in another 8 snatching/theft cases & 01 NDPS case FIR registered in major cities of Punjab state i.e, Amritsar, Jalandhar, Pathankot, Hoshiarpur & 01 FIR in JK UT.

The accused remained lodged in Sub Jail Pathankot from 2022 to 2025. This is the 18th absconder arrested by GRP Jammu since 2 years.
