On Monday, Bollywood actor Arjun Rampal was summoned by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). The summon was in connection with a drug case. NCB sources have told the Indian Express that he has been asked by the NCB to appear before the agency on 11 November on 11 AM.

The NCB has also carried out a raid at the residence of Arjun Rampal in Bandra and seized 11 electronic gadgets including mobile phones, a laptop and tablets from his house. An official said that some documents were also seized from his residence. NCB brought Rampal’s driver to their South Mumbai office for questioning. After some time, he was allowed to go.

Earlier last month, the NCB had arrested a 30-year old South African national and Arjun Rampal’s brother-in-law, Agisilaos Demetriades in the drugs case following the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. Brother of Rampal’s partner Gabriella Demetriades was arrested from a resort in Lonavala. According to the NCB, he was part of a drug network and supplied drugs to the peddlers who were in contact with Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik.

On October 6, a special court granted bail to Demetriades. But he was again arrested in some other drug case. The NCB also arrested the wife of Hindi film producer Firoz Nadiawala for purchasing weed from a drug peddler on Sunday. The very next day on Monday, the NCB also issued summons to Firoz to join the investigation.
