Bharat Jodo Yatra led by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi that resumed Sunday morning from Hiranagar Morh was provided heavy security cover by CRPF and J&K police in wake of two bomb blasts in Narwal of Jammu on Saturday.

Security personnel were seen covering Gandhi and other leaders participating in the Yatra from all sides with ropes so that no anti social element slips close to Gandhi. The step has been taken as the police are leaving no stone unturned in wake of increased terror activities in Jammu and Kashmir.

Gandhi is expected to take a night halt at Samba and will reach Jammu where he will also address a rally at Satwari. In the midst of present circumstances when Republic Day is nearing, security forces are feeling the heat as terrorists have stepped up their activities.

However Union Ministry of Home has assured the J&K administration of all help in case required by the UT. Already many companies of CRPF have been deployed in different parts of the region in wake of terror threat to the minorities. However DGP Dilbag Singh and ADGP Jammu Mukesh Singh are holding regular meetings to find the culprits behind Rajouri attack and the recent Narwal bomb blasts.
