Leh Apex Body (LAB) and Kargil Democratic Alliance (KDA) have been invited in an outreach by the government after both organizations called for Ladakh bandh today.

Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai, who is in Leh has invited both the organizations after anger grew over delay in listening to the demands of people of cold desert that was made a separate Union Territory in 2019 without extending any protection to the local culture and land.

The meeting was scheduled at around 12.30 pm in Leh in which Minister of state for Home will discuss the demands of leaders of Ladakh including Leh and Kargil.

The two groups in Leh and Kargil already had agreed on 4-point agenda, which includes full statehood to Ladakh, recruitment policy with a resident certificate on the pattern of PRC, separate Lok Sabha seats for Leh and Kargil districts, and constitutional safeguards under 6th Schedule.
