Are you a foodie? Accept this food challenge and get a cash prize at Kashmir eatery

If you are into food challenges then this one is surely for you! Often food challenges happen all over especially in western nations. Similar challenge has come up in Kashmir as well, where eating a giant pizza can help one to make money.

A 30-inch Sicilian pizza challenge has been started by The Pizza Shop and Cafe located at Nigeen. If a person is able to finish the pizza, person will win a cash prize of Rs. 20,000.

Issar Mir, owner of Eatalion, The Pizza Shop and Café said that they have started 30-inch Sicilian pizza challenge last week and four challenges have been done but nobody won. He further added that it is not impossible to have this giant pizza and is waiting for the person who can eat it. Mir added that they will add this pizza to their menu also even though it was only being prepared for challenges.

A food blogger Omar Rather, of ‘Kashmirfoodgram’ fame, based in valley said that this concept is popular in the West and is a new concept in Kashmir. He further added that foodies like him are glad that restaurants are offering such challenges.  “Sicilian pizzas are square-shaped and this particular pizza costs Rs. 1499. In case a challenger finishes it in 30 minutes, he/she will win Rs. 20,000 cash prize”, Omar said.

He added that another restaurant ‘Mughlai Central’ located at Mamta Chowk, Dalgate had started a ‘thali challenge’. Omar said that in this challenge the person has to finish the thali that includes tandoori chicken, Afghani chicken, fried rice, mutton biryani, keema, rajma, chicken tikka, kebab, mutton korma, raita and kheer. He further said that it costs Rs. 3000 and if the challenger finishes it in 40 minutes, will get Rs. 10,000.

Also he said that after the Covid-19 pandemic, the situation has become in control and recently only restaurants were allowed to reopen so such challenges, once starts trending will get a good response.
