In an effort to assist local women towards self-reliance, Army has started a ‘Beautician Course’ from November 17 to 23 November at Dadpeth in District Kishtwar.

The Beautician Course is being imparted to ten women of the area by Kanchan Lata, an experienced and recognised Beautician of Kishtwar. The course includes all facets of the sphere of Beautician. The training is aimed to include poor and rural women who would be given a platform to enhance their skill. The well equipped “Chenab Beauty Parlour” will be handed over to them towards their self-reliance and empowerment.

“This initiative of the Indian Army was highly appreciated by the youth and locals who thanked the Army for providing such a unique platform for creating job opportunities. The conduct of such training will go a long way in helping the unemployed youth of the area to find gainful employment and to be the bread earner for their families” an army spokesperson said.
