Baramulla man detained under PSA

In a significant action to safeguard the security of the State and maintain peace and public order, Police in Baramulla executed a detention warrant under the Public Safety Act (PSA) against Hatif Bilal Sofi son of Bilal Ahmad Sofi resident of Arampora, Baramulla.

Following his detention, the detenue was lodged at District Jail Anantnag in accordance with the prescribed legal procedure. He is involved in a serious criminal case relating to grave offences, including murder, criminal conspiracy, offences involving explosives and arms, and activities punishable under the UAPA.

J&K Police reiterated its firm commitment to maintaining law and order, safeguarding public safety, and taking stringent legal action against elements posing a threat to peace and security.
