National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) worked tirelessly to clear the landslides from Battery Chashma in Ramban area after which Kashmir bound traffic was allowed to proceed.
A large number of people including tourists were stranded at Ramban district where they were provided food and shelter by the administration. The Deputy Commissioner Mussarat Islam himself monitored the clearance operation in the district.
However the traffic towards Jammu has so far not been thrown open as a large chunk of National ighway in Samroli, Udhampur has been washed away.
Many people appreciated the Ramban administration for the work it performed in clearing landslides at over 30 places.
