Boycott ‘Thank God’ trends as people object to mockery of Chitragupta

Upcoming movie ‘Thank God’ whose trailer was released few days earlier has landed into controversy. The movie ‘Thank God’ is receiving heavy backlash on social media after the trailer was released.

The movie stars Ajay Devgn, Siddharth Malhotra and Rakul Preet Singh. After few days of the trailer release, movie has landed into legal trouble. After the release of trailers netizens reacted negatively on how the role of Chitragupta has been shown. In the trailer it can be seen that Ajay Devgan plays the role of Lord Chitragupt. He is the Lord of Karma and responsible for bringing justice. Sidharth Malhotra has met with an accident and he meets Chitragupta.

A case has been filed against the film’s director Indra kumar as well as Ajay and Sidharth in a court in Uttar Pradesh’s Jaunpur city.

Netizens trends boycott of the film over “inappropriate depiction” of Hindu deities and hurting religious sentiments in the name of comedy.
