BSF jawan injured in accidental fire during patrol in Kashmir’s Baramulla

Srinagar :- A Border Security Force (BSF) jawan was injured on Monday when his service rifle accidentally discharged during routine patrolling in Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla district, officials reported.

The incident occurred in Old Town Baramulla where Constable Manish Meghwal sustained a bullet injury from his own service weapon. Fellow personnel immediately rushed him to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.Hospital authorities have reported that Constable Meghwal’s condition is currently stable.

Officials are likely to conduct a standard investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accidental discharge, which is typical protocol in such incidents.
