The Covid-19 vaccine drive announced for children in the age group of 15-18 by Prime Minister Narender Modi will start from January 1 and students can register through CoWIN app. Government officials informed that portal will be opened from January 1 and students can use their ID cards for the same.
CoWIN chief Dr RS Sharma said that they have created an additional slot on the portal so that students could use their ID cards to register for the shots and added that as some may not have Aadhaar or other required ID cards.
PM has also announced precautionary dose for Covid-19 vaccines for healthcare and front line workers, which will be initiated from January 10, 2022.
