Commissioner Secretary Revenue distributes land passbooks in Kashmir

The Third phase of ambitious ‘Back to Village’ phase IV (B2V-4) programme commenced here today across 66 Gram Panchayats of Kulgam district with overwhelming public participation.

The designated Visiting Officers had on spot appraisal of issues and concerns of PRI members and civil society members regarding welfare and development of their respective areas.

On the occasion, multiple activities were conducted in all 66 Panchayat Halqas spanning across the blocks which were highly applauded by the public.

Commissioner Secretary Revenue, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri, who was Visiting Officer for D K Marg pnachayat under ongoing “Back to Village” programme, today visited his allotted Panchayat to assess the development issues and needs of the people there.

He was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner, Kulgam, Dr. Bilal-Mohi-Ud-Din-Bhat, DDC member, D K Marg, Gulzar Ahmad Dar, SDM Noorabad, ACD, ACR and other officers.

During his visit, he interacted with the PRI members and locals to take stock of their issues besides seeking feedback from them regarding status of implementation of various government schemes in their respective areas.

While interacting with the people, he outlined the essence of ‘Back to Village’ Programme saying that the sole motive behind this people friendly initiative is to ensure that not even a single person is deprived of the benefit of development schemes. He said that Government’s ambitious Outreach programme intends to enable people to voice their issues more freely at their doorsteps.

He also inaugurated Amrit Sarovar at Adigen and a playfield at D K Marg developed by RDD with an estimated cost of Rs 9.80 lakh.

He inspected stalls installed by various departments exhibiting their schemes and policies.

He also distributed land passbooks, golden cards, e-shram cards and sanction letters among the beneficiaries besides giving away house hold items among beneficiaries for Ghar Pravesh.
