Congress wins 2 seats of Kargil Hill Council

“Heartening to see secular parties like NC & Congress register their victory in Kargil. Its the first election post 2019 & people of Ladakh have spoken”, said PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti as the Congress and National Conference have so far bagged 2 seats each in the LAHDC-Kargil for which counting of votes was progressing. BJP has bagged one seat.

The latest result update:

INC Candidate Abdul Hadi won Tai- Suru Constituency with a voting margin of 261 votes. He received 1717 votes, followed by Syed Abbass (JKNC) 1456 votes. A total of 3185 votes were cast in the constituency.

INC Candidate Kacho Muhammad Feroz won Pashkum Constituency with a voting margin of 350 votes. He received 1756 votes, followed by Muhammad Ali (Independent) 1406 votes and Ahmad Hussain (AAP) 130 votes. A total of 3309 votes were cast in the constituency.
