A consignment of hand grenades, an IED and ammunition was today morning recovered by a joint team of Army and J&K Police near the Line of Control (LoC) in the Palanwallah area of the Jammu district.
A police spokesperson said that in a joint search operation launched by Jammu Police and Army in the general area of Palanwallah near LoC in the early morning, a suspicious box was recovered.
The box contained a battery fitted Improvised Explosive Device (IED), one pistol, 38 live bullets, 9 grenades and 2 pistol magazines.
An FIR has been registered under relevant sections and investigation taken up.
