A TADA court has released Shafat Ahmed Shangloo, the man who was arrested by the CBI on Monday for his alleged involvement in the Rubaiyya Sayeed kidnapping case. Sayeed is the daughter of the then Home Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayed.
The CBI had sought custody of Shangloo but the court rejected it after examining the chargesheet filed by the central agency.
Shangloo’s release adds another turn to the long-pending proceedings as the court continues to examine evidence and statements linked to the decades-old investigation.
