Covid in J&K breaches 5000 daily cases mark, death toll is 50

Coronavirus in Jammu and Kashmir crossed 5000 mark daily cases on Friday along with 50 deaths reported from across the UT.

The single largest spike of 5443 was witnessed on Friday in the UT with 29 people from Jammu and 21 from Kashmir valley succumbing to the deadly virus taking the total toll to 2612 deaths from Covid.

Providing district wise details, a government spokesperson of J&K, Srinagar reported 1071 cases, Baramulla 496, Budgam 384, Pulwama 118, Kupwara 198, Anantnag 568, Bandipora 93, Ganderbal 169, Kulgam 344, Shopian 134, Jammu 639, Udhampur 292, Rajouri 300, Doda 37, Kathua 226, Samba 121, Kishtwar 39, Poonch 95, Ramban 67 and Reasi 52.
