The third phase of Covid Vaccination drive initiated with inoculation of government employees at the Council Secretariat, Leh today.
The drive was inaugurated by the Chairman/Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC Leh, Advocate Tashi Gyalson and MP Ladakh, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal. Executive Councillor for RDD, Tashi Namgyal Yakzee, District Immunisation Officer, Dr Tashi Namgyal and officials of the medical department were present at the occasion.
CEC Gyalson stated that the third phase of the vaccination drive will begin with inoculation of government employees followed by candidates above 18 years of age. He also informed that procuring of more vaccines are in progress and will soon reach the Union Territory for further drives. He urged the general public not to fall prey to misleading information and requested to co-operate with the District and UT administration respectively for further measures in fighting against Coronavirus.
MP Ladakh, appreciated the efforts of the District and UT administration in successfully continuing the Vaccination drive amid the current situation of Covid-19 in the UT. He assured that all the citizens will be vaccinated in a phase-wise manner as per the guidelines laid down by the Govt. of India.
A total of 334 beneficiaries were inoculated against Covid-19 at both the centres of Council Secretariat, Leh today.
