Delayed admission process by J&K BOPEE, candidates suffer

Delay of first round of counseling by Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examination (BOPEE) has left students in helpless situation. Delayed counseling by Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examination for students who are qualified to enrol for various professional courses have left several candidates in hopeless situation.

The students who have qualified B Sc Nursing, JKCET engineering, B Pharma, NEET PG said that BOPEE has kept the first round of the counseling has been kept pending for  last several months.

Students told Greater Kashmir that unnecessary delay by JKBOPEE has put the nursing, paramedical and NEET PG aspirants in difficult situation.

J&K Students Association (JKSA) has also written to BOPEE Chairman R K Goyal to inform him about the situation of students and JKSA stated that the students of the B.Sc nursing await the selection list of the examination which was conducted in June 2022 followed by its counseling in September.

“It is pertinent to mention that, the Indian Nursing Council has stipulated October 31 as the last date for the admission, but the selection list is yet to be issued even after interlude of four odd months since the exam was held,” reads a letter issued by JKSA to Chairman JKBOPEE.

Meanwhile, the disgruntled NEET PG candidates said that JKBOPEE’s delay in the counselling procedure caused them to already miss the first and second rounds of All India counselling started by the medical counselling committee.

JKSA letter read that early results will be helpful for the students because the candidates who will not be falling in the selection list of government medical colleges in J&K can apply in other states through All India Quota

The delay by the JKBOPEE has left the students in a helpless situation which can affect their career
