Deputy Commissioner Leh reviews Covid-19 arrangements at Khaltsi

With the Leh-Srinagar National Highway set to open soon, Deputy Commissioner/Chairman, District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Leh, Shrikant Suse, today visited Sub-Division Khaltse to take stock of the arrangements at the Covid-19 checkpoint and registration point. He also visited the Tourism Rest House near the Covid-19 check post/TCP khaltsi.

DC Leh directed to Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Khaltsi, Tanveer Ahmad, to increase the bedding capacity at the Covid Care Centre (CCC). He also exhorted SDM and Block Medical Officer (BMO) Khaltsi to conduct the proper Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) and register all the incoming passengers/labourers to Leh through the Leh-Srinagar National Highway.

SDM Khaltsi informed DC Leh of the problems faced by the officials deputed at the Covid checkpoint and registration point, including the living room. He requested DC Leh to permit the officials to use the Rest House of the Tourism Department.

SDM Khaltsi, Block Medical Officer (BMO) Khaltsi, Dr Iqbal Ahmad; Executive Engineer, PWD, Khaltsi, Ghulam Nabi; AEE PWD Khaltsi, Manzoor Hussain and Block Officer, Sheep Husbandry, Khaltsi,  Phuntsog Tashi, were present during DC Leh’s visit.
