Commissioner Secretary, Rural Development Department (RDD) and Panchayati Raj, Mandeep Kaur today visited Panchayat Seri Khwaja of Lassana block of the district and participated in the B2V4 activities there.
During the visit to Panchayat Halqa, the Commissioner Secretary also interacted with general public and PRI representatives of the block and held detailed deliberations with them regarding the development of their area. She also had a detailed feedback from them regarding the developmental activities carried out in the area.
During the interaction, Kaur gave patient hearing to various issues and demands of the local populace regarding healthcare, education, employment, SBM ,JJM etc. She advised the local level functionaries to be sensitive towards locally felt needs while make developmental plans. She also assured the public that all of their genuine issues will be resolved on priority.
On the occasion, Mandeep Kaur also inspected the stalls being installed by different departments and enquired about the progress achieved under various schemes by the line departments with respect to set saturation targets.
The Commissioner Secretary during the visit also inspected various ongoing works in the Panchayat Halqa and reviewed the pace of works under different flagship programmes like MGNREGA, 14th F.C, PMAY, etc. She directed the concerned field functionaries to speed up the process of execution and ensure completion of all on-going works within stipulated time frame.
During the visit, Kaur also distributed various items like kits to newly born girl child, school Bags, Wheel Chairs, Walking sticks Blind stick Hearing aids, etc among beneficiaries. The Commissioner Secretary also distributed Passbooks, sanction letters under PMEGP and other schemes through J&K Bank among the beneficiaries.
