Disengagement in Ladakh’s Gogra: Indian troops equipped with modern weapons maintain vigil

After the India and China have disengaged their troops in the Gogra Heights area of eastern Ladakh, India is still vigilant.

For patrolling the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in the region, Indian troops have prepared themselves with modern weapons.

Indian Army is on high alert and keeping a close watch. As per reports, Indian Army said that they were not ready to trust the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) over disengagement. Thus a close watch is being kept on the outskirts of Chushul, which falls at a distance 150 km from Leh.

Troops have been equipped and provided with sophisticated equipment like the Sig Sauer assault rifles, MP9 pistol guns and Carl Gustaf rocket launches.

It is pertinent to mention that recently India and China have agreed to disengage their troops from the Gogra Heights area of eastern Ladakh. Since past one year the Indian and Chinese forces have been stationed on the frontline along the LAC in eastern Ladakh.
