Fatima Sana Shaikh whose name has hit a controversy after the divorce of actor Aamir Khan and wife Kiran Rao, belongs to Jammu and Kashmir and has parents from different religions.
While the father of Shaikh is a Brahmin from Jammu, her mother is a Muslim from Srinagar. Name of her father is Vipan Sharma and mother is Raj Tabassum. However Fatima Sana Shaikh was born in Hyderabad and identifies her as an atheist.
Soon after the news of Aamir Khan’s divorce in media, people started accusing Fatima Sana Shaikh of being the reason for it. It was alleged that Aamir Khan had developed closeness with Fatima Shaikh and this was the reason his wife Kiran Rao did not want to live with him anymore. However these are all reports with no substantiated facts.
Fatima Sana Shaikh’s movie Danga in which she acted as a daughter of Aamir Khan was super hit after which she was acknowledged in the film industry for her acting skills. It was reported that she was helped by Aamir Khan in the movie.
Her recent series on Netflix Ajeeb Daastaans was also much liked by people. However Aamir Khan’s divorce brought Fatima Sana Shaikh in the eye of storm where she was trolled on social media for being the reason of separation between Khan and Kiran Rao.
After the reports of link-ups of Fatima Sana Shaikh and Aamir Khan surfaced after ‘Dangal’, she had ridiculed such reports in a media interview.
