New Delhi :- Former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, a towering figure in Indian politics and economics, passed away on Thursday evening at the age of 92
.He had been admitted to AIIMS Delhi earlier in the day after his health deteriorated, and despite the best efforts of doctors, he could not be revived.
Dr. Singh, India’s 13th Prime Minister, served from 2004 to 2014, leading two consecutive United Progressive Alliance (UPA) governments. A celebrated economist, he is credited with ushering in landmark economic reforms during his tenure as Finance Minister in the 1990s.Born on September 26, 1932, in Gah, Punjab (now in Pakistan), Dr. Singh’s life was a testament to dedication, intellect, and service.
