GMC Jammu gets NMC’s nod to increase 50 MBBS seats

In a major achievement, the number of MBBS seats in the Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu has been increased to 250 by the National Medical Commission (NMC).

The NMC has granted permission to the GMC for increasing the annual intake by 50 seats from the academic year 2026-2027.

The NMC has sent the letter dated 12 July permitting an increase of 50 MBBS seats to the principal of GMC Jammu Dr. Ashutosh.

It is worth mentioning that the NMC had last week accorded permission to increase 50 MBBS seats to the GMC Srinagar.
