More than 50,000 devotees, visitors including men, women and children of all faiths thronged 3- day Historic Sudhmahadev Mela in Sub Division Chenani of district Udhampur which concluded today with traditional fervor and gaiety.
During the three days of the mela, the devotees paid obeisance at the abode of Lord Shiva in the Sudh Mahadev temple after taking bath in the spring (Pap Nashni Bowli) situated just at the entrance of the temple, having the power of cleaning all human evils.
During the Mela, the folk artists and students of educational institutions of the area presented folk songs and dances, highlighting various aspects of local culture with special reference to Lord Shiva.
A number of temporary sweet shops, toy shops and other eateries set up by the locals and outside vendors were the main attraction for the general public visiting the Mela.
